HAND PAINTED ARTIST REMARQUE
The aircraft shown here is probably the most graceful, effective, and well loved aircraft from World War II. It is best known as the P-51D Mustang built by the North American Aircraft company about the middle of the war. In most cases, pilots in action flew in pairs as a team.
Although Ronald Suchiu is able to paint absolutely any subject he does have his favorites and "Aviation Art" is certainly one of them.
The scene takes place in Italy where a very young and inexperienced pilot fails to nurse his wounded aircraft back to his base. His partner salutes him with a "low fly-by" to
reassure him that he will send help. The farmer gives the effect that out of the disasters in war, many life-long friendships are born.
